This guide is here to help you figure out what style photographs you like and think would best capture not only the wedding itself, but your personalities as well. Below you will find photographs that illustrate the various styles that may be appealing to you.

This photo emphasizes the island wedding feel while embracing modern trends in wedding photography. While not front-on like a traditional photo, it captures the emotion of the moment as well as showing appreciation for the location.

In this photo, again it is a modern approach. The moment is captured, but out of focus, while the focus holds on the scenery in the foreground. While the bride and groom are dressed traditionally and the surroundings are also more tradition, a modern appraoch is taken.

This photo is fun and tropical. It is not traditionally scripted however it is posed. Clients must remember that "candids" are rarely flattering. Spontaneous-looking poses can turn out the most terrific photos.

They've opted for the fun approach as well. Without the constraints of traditional photography, clients can create fun poses that are different from what you traditionally see.

This photo is slightly more photojournalistic. It captures the bride and groom but from a distance in what appears to be a more private moment. It also captures the surroundings and the champagne allowing the photo to do double duty.

This photo is modern in its approach but incorporates the classic elements as well. Because it is in black and white, the photo appears more classic in nature and softens the couple. Her traditional attire contrasts with the texture of the background.

The fun thing here is that this is
a more tradtional photograph but it
is contrasted by the very-island
bouquet. This is a trademark approach

capture this pose with any bride who
chooses to wear a veil.

Again, here the traditional approach is taken, the pose is very traditional but the destination wedding feel is captured by couple's attire and flowers.

This is a more casual approach, capturing the fun of the moment and of the couple's personality. Especially for weddings on the beach, this pose is terrific at capturing the fun of a destination wedding.

This is a traditional photograph. What's
nice is that their smiles are cadid in
feeling while still using a classic pose.

This image is takes a photojournalistic approach. It captures a private moment from a distance and incorporates the location beautifully into the shot.
